A7N8X-E Deluxe boot up problems with SATA drives

I just installed 2 new identical Hitachi SATA hard drives (one of OS, one for Data). I had ghosted a recent OS image from the old Raptor Drive that died, and restored that image to the new drive. No problem so far. But once in while, when starting or restarting the computer, it will hang after the "verifying DMI pool" message. The hard drive light is on and blinking, but just the cursor is just blinking on the screen. Hit the reset button and it goes to XP. Sometimes takes one or two times. Any help would be appreciated.
My boot sequence is : 1) CDROM 2)SCSI 3)Disabled.
